I was certainly I was looking forward to dining there - expecting an experience to finish an excellent day. The service was good, almost faultless, yet it was very mechanic and without personality. Minimalist would be a good descriptive word for the food. While the presentation was impressive, there wasn't a lot to be impressed by. My medium steak was cooked to perfection - a hard feat in this day and age. My partner's salmon was cooked perfectly as well - but again, the size of the salmon piece would more suit a small child. The creamy mash potato arrived drier than my worst attempt at home. I don't mind paying premium prices at a restaurant if I am going to premium food and premium service. Very rare have I experienced both in WA. Wino's is no different. I walked out feeling like I had "paid for a banquet for only eating a rib". I will be returning to Margaret River again, but not Wino's. Very disappointed. (Less)
