If there's a better country restaurant within coo-ee (since The Vine lost Dennis Mifsud) I want to know. Splendid and well informed service, a small but well thought out wine list and terrific tucker. It's the only place to eat during the Jazz Festival - and any other time. and those river views.....

It's been almost 20 years since I have been back in Wang. Living in Europe, taste sensations are a regular occurrence. This little place astounded me in it's blatant nerve in dragging country vic into the modern contemporary eating experience.. Give it a go. Try something new. You wont be disappointed.

Dont go if you have coeliac disease. Whilst they offer gluten free food they don't really understand it and gave us spelt bread, wontons listed as gluten free (they weren't).

I used to live in Wangaratta but moved to Melbourne a few years ago. Went back to visit friends the other day and was surprised to find a little piece of classy Melbourne dining in Tread. Great menu, had a delish meal on the deck by the river. Perfect venue for any day, any time!
