I was recently introduced to this restaurant by a friend (David H, below) who loves quality food as much as I do, and I was not disappointed. The diced lamb skewers would have to be amongst the best lamb that I’ve had, and were placed upon a bed of rice that was so good that I had to finish it. Also of particular note were the chicken skewers, and the dips. I normally prefer flavours to be loud, rough and unforgiving, but found myself appreciating the balanced approach taken by Habayib. Additionally, having eaten the Banquet I felt energized and healthy, rather than overfilled and sluggish.

I ate at Habayib for the first time this week and I was disappointed. The hommos dip was dry, the lamb or beef skewers were tough to eat, the tabbouly salad tasted and looked old not fresh. The food in general was tasteless. It looked like a cozy restaurant and it offered a potentially great evening, but it was much less then expected. The owner was friendly but to bad the food was just so below average. Sorry Robert, but I won't be back.

My wife and I decided to try Habayib for a quick meal a couple of weeks ago, and were really pleased with the fresh, home-style food. We brought a couple of friends back with us the next weekend for a more leisurely banquet, which knocked all of our socks off. Everything was delicious and light, and while we were very full at the end of the meal, it was a pleasant sort of full, not the heavy, greasy feeling that you get from some banquets. Richard, the host, was very friendly and welcoming - he'll be seeing a lot more of us in future. Highly recommended!

Went to this restaurant for the first time last night and it was really solid. Good tradional food. Thats something coming from me as my mum is middle eastern. I tried several dishes and was pleasantly suprised. It was very good. Well done to the chef and team. I will be back. Robert

We were absolutely delighted with the quality of ingredients used at this restaurant. I can still taste the exquisite olive oil, not to mention the beautifully prepared meat dishes. We specifically choose to dine non - halal and this is one of the few Middle Eastern restaurants which appear to be so (non halal). We were so impressed with the food, the thought of using their catering for our wedding is high on our list.

A friend and I walked past the shop and found an undiscovered secret. A beautiful fine dining experience without the extravagent price. The staff definately made us feel at home and the meat banquet on the menu gave us a good introduction to traditional lebanese cuisine. Definately worth the try!

I have to say I was disappointed. Food was dry and tasteless, and the service mediocre at best. I was looking forward to it and was let down. Won't be back

I have eaten her before and enjoyed myself immensely!
Decided to get takeaway. Don't know why I haven't done this before!! The food from this place leaves you so sated. Owner remembered me when I went in to pick it up! Feels nice to be a patron of a restaurant where they make the effort to remember customers, not just sell food!
