We specialise in predominantly southern Italian cuisine, known for its simplicity and freshness. Our Italian chefs also add regional dishes to create a blend of regional home-style cooking with some well known Italian classical dishes. Situated almost at the very end of trendy Fitzroy Street, Bar Santo is just out of reach of the noise and bustle of the bars of the street, but still very much in the thick of things.
I went here for a Saturday mid-morning breakfast while on holiday in St. Kilda and absolutely loved it. I had the Uova Buia, which was hard to pronounce but very easy to finish - two perfectly poached eggs on a thick slice of sourdough and drenched in a fresh, warm tomato sauce.
