The start of the "original" hospitality in Stanthorpe, Stamani, as it was known, was built in 1917 by Satn and Amy Pierpoint. Anna Pompetti, the founder, established the restaurant with the backing of her family when she was in year 11 at a tender age of 16. Anna now lives in Italy married with three children.
