I'm not from the local area, living out at Penrith but I discovered Zeebra Cafe a number of years ago and take any opportunity of traveling to Maroubra Beach or a trip to the airport to drop in and enjoy a well made coffee & home made muffin at Zeebra. Then, six months ago, I had brekie here and the french toast is unique and the best I've ever tasted. They used an italian type loaf, thickly sliced, well soaked and cooked to perfection. The serving size was abundant also. I enjoyed Zeebra and hope you do too. My only criticism, that they aren't open 7 days.

Okay. I ate at Zeebra last Saturday. After a two hour surf at Maroubra, I had a special salad for 10 dollars which was a bargain and very tasty. I also had an Acai, a fresh homecooked banana and plum muffin and a long black. The Acai was smooth with lots of fresh fruit and good colour. The coffee had a good head of crema and was strong and not bitter. Its a beautiful little cafe and I love it. There is nowhere else on Maroubra or even Coogee as good and consistent as this place.
