Trust John's recommendations and you will not go wrong.

 ( 10 / 10 )
We (seniors and well versed in food) were in Brisbane from the UK for a vacation visiting friends who took us to Jellyfish. From the impeccable Mojito cocktails to the superbly cooked and presented food, we enjoyed ourselves so much that having eaten well in many of Brisbane's top restaurants we voted Jellyfish our best and went back for our last meal of the holiday. The wonderful John McNamara not only remembered us but made sure that we we ended our stay on a really high gastronomic note from starters through to dessert.

Unfortunately we won't be returning.

 ( 6 / 10 )
My husband and I wanted a romantic dinner. ARIA and Alchemy fully booked we thought we'd try Jellyfish. We were sent to the bar and sat for half an hour longer than our booking as they wanted to give us a prime table facing the river? Area was so flouro lit we could hardly see the river beyond the chain wire fence and busy pathway, very noisy. Tempura fish was greasy and tasteless. Not light tempura batter. Crispy duck was overcooked and very dry. Neither come with veg. were charged for side that didn't arrive. Staff were very pleasant.

Wouldn't be going back.

 ( 4 / 10 )
I went to Jellyfish for my birthday and we looked at the menu on the website and saw that they had flounder - my favourite fish. When we got there - there was no flounder. Soft shell grab starter was nice but a bit greasy. My husband's snapper was hard as a rock, dry and tasteless. They were meant to do a special birthday surprise for me, but they didn't - and when we were leaving, they just shrugged their shoulders that they forgot. Pretty disappointing night all up - although the waiter in the cocktail bar was great.

Disappointing service

 ( 5 / 10 )
Disappointing service, and food which you can get at your local fish and chip shop for an eighth of the price. You will get great views, and some great cocktails in the bar, but the restaurant itself is quite noisy. If dining in winter, be sure to take a jacket - we sat inside with the open dining, it was cold!!

My Managers loved it!

 ( 10 / 10 )
Last night I took 5 National Managers from my Business to Jellyfish, and for a Wednesday night it was very busy. However this suited us fine as it gave us an opportunity to talk. The service we received from walking through the door until we left was Superior! A Wine or water glass was never less than half empty before being filled by a very happy waiter. All our entree and mains were delivered on time and to the correct people for a table of 6. The Wine menu complimented the dinner we had. For desert you can not go past the Creme Brule! Fantastic Experience!!!

Overpriced

 ( 6 / 10 )
Overpriced, the wrong potato side served, sides very small, tempura batter just like you get at the local fish and chip shop. I am no cook but I can cook tempura batter,it is not difficult. I took 2 friends out for dinner, 2 alcoholic beverages, we had 2 entrees and 3 mains, no desserts at a cost of $180 and we could not even hear each other, over the noise. Very disappointing, I will not be returning, maybe during the week when they are not so busy.
