The management and staff of Slide celebrated the arrival of their second birthday with over 300 of Sydney's social set, media, and their devoted members.

As the venue slides into its third year, it boasts a fresh new face, including a newly renovated Champagne bar on the mezzanine, oversized mirrors facing the dance floor and new banquettes for that intimate drink. For the few that have not experienced the excitement and rush of Slide over the last two years, the venue caters for all. With a European mentality that combines Restaurant, Bar and Club, patrons are taken into a captivating space of plush surrounds, friendly and professional staff, as well as quality entertainment in the heart of Sydney.

On Friday night guests experienced the talents of Slides Sunday entertainment El'Circo including an Aerial artist from Cirque du Soleil, Arabian dancer, Male pole dancers, Nude art, and a host of DJ's with guests leaving in the early hours of the morning.

Open five days a week ‘til 3am, Slide welcomes its third year of business not only with a bold new identity but also a brand new schedule. The new weekly timetable is as follows:

For those who love a culinary delight, Slide combines all senses... Sight, taste, smell, sound and touch, awakening them all. The venue's restaurant offers first-class cuisine presented in a way never seen before. One of El'Circo's eight courses is a chicken and mushroom risotto scent, served in a balloon which is then pricked with a pin and inhaled; this is just one of the ways of how this culinary experience sets itself apart from the rest. The menu is accompanied by astounding El'Circo performances including trapeze acts, vocalists and a 6 foot plus fabulous maitre-de-hotel.

Slide has attracted those with an appreciation for relaxed refinement that takes them from dinner to dancing with plenty of entertainment along the way. The nightclub, which exudes stylish grandeur, allows patrons to follow their decadent dinner with a night of dancing. The ground floor features private booths and a striking island bar, while the upper cocktail bar emanates intimacy and sophistication. Showing its true colours and accentuating its versatility, Slide flaunts diversity and delight – making this venue truly unique.

Monday to Friday Slide is also available to host that special function or event due to availability. Whether it be a product launch, end of financial year, Christmas party or private soiree, it's the ultimate location to entertain your guests. The mezzanine balcony overlooking the venue onto a vibrant dance floor provides a retro experience through multi-coloured light boxes. Slide was thrilled to introduce its newly reinvented space at the birthday celebration on the 15th of February 2008. The VIP Cocktail Party held from 7pm to 10pm and festivities will begin with drinks and canapés as well as amazing entertainment giving you a taste of El'Circo performing arts. Talent includes an extreme juggler, a trapeze artist from Cirque du Soleil, and a male belly dancer. Promising a visual feast for the audience, Slide is looking forward to celebrating its second birthday.
