Sydney’s newest harbourside Bar Brasserie -
The Deck - officially opened on Thursday, 15th November. Situated on the water in Milsons Point, the Bar Brasserie embraces uninterrupted views of the world’s most iconic landmarks, offering modern-Australian cuisine in a superb atmosphere of relaxed elegance.
Interprojects, the innovative and meticulous interior designers, have transformed the space into a sophisticated and unique dining venue. Boasting local and international clients such as Giorgio Armani, Hugo’s Bar Pizza, Sass and Bide and the Sebel Hotel, the trend-setters have successfully created a stunning, relaxed, environment – the first of its kind on the Sydney harbour foreshore.
The Bar Brasserie has a summer ambiance with earthy tones and chic dark timbers. With amazing water front views, The Deck features a stylish bar and variety of dining options. This includes banquette lounges, traditional seating, communal tables and dining on the outdoor terrace. The venue is perfect for corporate gatherings, special occasions and sharing small plates with friends.
Executive chef, Michael Roper, is extremely excited about his new role. Previously working as head chef at the decadent M on the Bund in Shanghai, his vast knowledge and experience will ensure the exquisite Bar Brasserie is at the forefront of Australian dining. Roper states ‘I am thrilled to be back in Australia cooking at one of the most beautiful locations in the world.’ The beverage list includes delicious, refreshing cocktails and an extensive wine list.
The Deck will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner five days a week. It will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. It is easily accessible by all modes of transport including ferry, train or car. With expansive views across the water spanning from the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Botanical Gardens and Finger Wharf, The Deck is sure to be the next ‘hot spot’ for the Australian summer ahead.
