Canberra District Wines, recently branded “Liquid Geography” and Sydney’s Bilson’s Restaurants are delighted to be presenting a two week showcase at Tony Bilson’s two Sydney restaurants from 4 -18 July.
Number One Wine Bar & Bistro
From Saturday 4th July until Saturday 18th July, Canberra District Wines will be on taste and available for purchase at Number One Wine Bar & Bistro at Circular Quay – Tony Bilson’s popular new venue. Included on the daily menus are menu items perfect for pairing with high country red an whites, from classic French bistro favourites bouillabaisse, cassoulet, and beef bourguignon to tapas style bar food – And at “Number One” you can choose to eat at the bar, al fresco or at intimate tables. Prices begin at $12 for food items and $7 for wine by the glass.
Bilsons – with district Truffles
On Friday 17th July, an elegant Canberra Regional food and wine dinner will be held at Tony’s iconic Bilson’s Restaurant. The special menu will feature Canberra District truffles as well as 13 prize winning Canberra District wines.
Anne Caine, president of the Canberra District Wine Industry Association said that the region is achieving clear recognition for cool climate Shiraz and Riesling varieties. Wineries being showcased include Clonakilla , Brindabella Hills and Lark Hill labels as well as several emerging vintners.
