'Bonjour Brisbane!' For New Sofitel Executive Chef

French-born Patrice Falantin has joined Sofitel Brisbane as Executive Chef.

A graduate of the Lycee de Hotelier de Toulouse in France, Patrice has relocated to Brisbane with his family from Perth, Western Australia where for the past two years he has been working as an executive chef with Accor.

Prior to migrating to Australia, Patrice worked as an instructor at Cooking School France in Paris and was private chef for a French government minister.

He then moved to the UK where he worked at Harrods London and the exclusive Hyde Park Regent before moving to Sydney and the five star Four Seasons Hotel, formerly The Regent Hotel, for more than five years.

He subsequently worked as general manager and executive chef at the award winning Hawkesbury River Resort Loxley on Bellbird Hill in NSW and as executive chef at the Acqua Viva Function Centre in Perth.

Patrice is married with two children and lists his hobbies as fishing and gardening.
