Previously known as the WA Wine & Food Festival, the Good Food & Wine Show, coming to Perth for the first time in July, will maintain a strong local presence giving visitors the chance to enjoy food, wine and gourmet goodies from local Western Australian producers.
Organisers of the Show, Diversified Exhibitions Australia, have built on the foundations laid down by the enormously popular WA Wine & Food Festival, and have added many features to the new Show designed to entertain, educate and excite offering the best of the west among the 150 food, wine and beverage exhibitors.
Some of the Western Australian producers exhibiting at this years' Show include:
- Olio Bello - award-winning, organic, estate-grown and pressed extra virgin olive oil, made from hand picked and pressed premium olives.
- The Department of Agriculture and Food will be promoting food businesses and their products that are signed up to the ‘buy west eat best' food labelling program. There will be a tasting plate available for visitors to purchase so they can make sure they get to sample the fresh, quality, West Australian produce on offer.
- Mt Barker Chickens - Free of hormones and antibiotic growth promotants, roaming freely during the day and sheltered at night. Mt Barker Chickens are quality Western Australian, naturally grown chicken raised on natural pastures and grain.
- Challenge Dairy - 100% Western Australian farmer owned entity, situated at the historic Capel Dairy site. Dairy farmer members supply fresh milk daily, from their own farms which are based in the beautiful south west of Western Australia.
- Dash Olives - award winning, premium extra virgin olive oils including the DASH Moorish - from the Moore River Region in WA. Dash hand-select their olives for quality and taste from fertile regions of the Australian continent with a passion for freshness and fun.
- Swan Valley Visitor Centre - with over 150 places to eat and drink in the Swan Valley and just 25 minutes from the Perth CBD. Learn about the award winning restaurants and wineries, cafes, road side produce stalls, breweries and distilleries at this stand. Free samples and Food & Wine Trail Map and Guides will also be available for visitors.
Other features at the show include live demonstrations from celebrity chefs including Tobie Puttock, Ben O'Donoghue and Anna Gare at the Diners Club Celebrity Theatre presented by LifeStyle FOOD Channel, the Riedel Wine Theatre, and wines to taste from regions all over Western Australia such as Geographe, Great Southern, Margaret River, Pemberton, Perth Hills and Swan Valley.
