Cosmopolitans and canapés flowed freely all night at J+J O'Brien's first 'Cosmopolitans for A Cause' fundraising event to support The Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation, the fundraising arm of the Sydney Breast Cancer Institute. The night exceeded all expectations, raising a massive $11, 400 for Breast Cancer research.
Interest in the 'Cosmopolitans for A Cause' night was so huge it had to be held over two J+J O'Brien's Darling Harbour venues – at Level One of The Watershed Hotel and Cohibar. Each venue featured a "Sex in the City" theme for the ultimate girls night out. Both venues were sold out as 360 guests slipped into their Manolo Blahniks, grabbed their Fendi Handbags, and headed out for a great night and a good cause with their girlfriends.
Treated to free cosmopolitans and canapés all night, guests were encouraged to sit back and relax while taking in the breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour and the city skyline and lively, welcoming ambience created by special guest DJ Miss Match. J+J O'Brien's The Watershed and Cohibar were the perfect nightspots to host a 'Sex in the City' style event with their funky, sensuous, and very inner city vibe. To ensure the mood was just so, a huge plasma screen ran Sex and the City episodes all night. Gelatissimo Raspberry Bambino gelato and marshmallows dipped in a chocolate fountain kept everyone energized.
With prizes including Gucci and Prada handbags and a Cerrone diamond necklace, the raffle draw was a highlight of the evening. Nobody left empty handed, however, with each guest taking home a fantastic "goodie bag" worth RRP over $100, filled with a range of girlie gifts including:
- J+J O'Brien's Relaxing Eye Mask
- Tooheys Bare Foot Radleer beer donated by Lion Nathan
- Condura Jewellery
- Naomi Simpson's book, I Want What She is Having
- Napoleon Lip glosses
- Kosmea Skin Care Range
- Tic Tacs
- Blackmores Vitamins
- Marzena Wax Strips
- Splash Spa Voucher
The 'Cosmopolitans for a Cause' event was the first of it's kind to be held by J+J O'Brien since becoming a supporting partner of The Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation, one of Australia's leading centres for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of breast cancer.
