Ruben Martinez, head-chef at ultra chic Italian eatery, La Sala, has crafted a bespoke menu for fashionista's to enjoy during Sydney Fashion Week 2008.

The Designer Menu is just $50 for 2 courses or $60 for 3...couture cuisine at high street prices. And it's available to everyone.

Light and fresh, inspiringly textured- featuring greens, neutrals, vine-ripened reds and luminescent oyster pearl… Ruben's fashion week menu is the perfect antidote to the inevitable overdose of rich canapés, champagne breakfasts, missed meals and the aching tendons brought on by 24 hour stilettos.

Insalata, steamed snapper, baby clams, local vine ripened tomatoes, poached organic chicken, fresh fruit sorbets with mint- these are just a few of Martinez's key elements, used so artfully.

Drop in to La Sala, situated in the heart of Sydney's fashion quarter, Surry Hills, and choose two or three courses from this lite but luxe menu- and let the team know if you're after something quick to fit between appointments- it's all about simplicity.

La Sala, at 23 Foster St, Surry Hills, is open for lunch on Thursday and Friday from 12pm, and dinner Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm. The La Sala bar (serving Sydney's best Bellini's) is open during restaurant hours.

La Sala's Designer Menu will be on offer during Australian Fashion Week from Tuesday 29 April until Saturday 3 May.
