'Virtual Chef' in the Kitchen

In an Australian first – and thanks to the latest in podcast technology – foodies can now have their own 'virtual chef' in their home, cooking alongside top chef Greg Anderson of the renowned Sugaroom restaurant in Sydney.

www.bestrestaurants.com.au and Sugaroom have created a recipe multi media platform which will enable users to download Greg's 'Recipe of the Month', download a Podcast where Greg explains how he cooks the dish and an 'Ask Greg' blog where people can ask Greg questions about each particular recipe.

To be launched on Wednesday March 12, it means Australians will have the cooking knowledge of one of Sydney's leading chefs 'virtually' in their kitchen. And, with Easter on our doorstep, Greg has chosen a traditional lamb and vegetable roast dinner as his first 'podcast' recipe as families get together for the Easter Holidays.

The steps are simple:

• Go to www.bestrestaurants.com.au.
• Click on the podcast which takes you to the recipe podcast page
• There are links for downloading the recipe podcast and recipe pdf,
• Access to 'Ask Chef Greg' and 'on line recipe blog'

"This technology brings me right into the kitchens of people who love cooking – and a chance to show them how to create these dishes from word go," Greg said. "It really is 21st Century cooking; cutting edge technology being adapted to help create some great dishes," he said.

People can then 'Ask Greg' questions about the recipe or the cooking process. They can also 'blog' like-minded foodies about the recipes and cooking in general.

There is also the chance to win a fantastic dinner for four at Sugaroom and meet Greg Anderson. Users can enter on line at www.bestrestaurants.com.au.

Greg Anderson is Chef and Owner of Sydney dining hot-spot, Sugaroom Restaurant located on the waterfront at Pyrmont. It’s location, casual and relaxed ambience along with the simple yet innovative menu has made them a popular choice with the locals and fine dining aficionados living further afield.
