Lunched on 22 Jan 2010. A no-frills cafe with plain wooden tables. Staff seemed rather aloof and unwelcoming. Abell's Char Kueh Teow was okay - not too greasy and tasted fine. It seemed like an in-house variation. Kari Ayam Pedas (spicy-hot chicken curry) was delicious - went well with rice. Malayan Beef Rendang was acceptable - less spicy than the real stuff. Lemon-lime bitters drink was well made. Hospitality could be better. They seemed more keen to close up by 2:30 p.m. |
