The reviews in the food mags indicated we were in for a special meal .. and it was pretty good .. the Thai Style Oyster Shooters were just amazing and the fillet steak was almost as amazing. The others in our group had the freshly shucked oyster and the lamb .. some had the fish and were equally impressed. We liked the beer and wine on offer but the high cost had us questioning it all .. being highly recommended doesn't mean they can hit us up for drinks .. the dearest Jansz on our trip!

Having heard good and bad we tried Stillwater and were disappointed. It is very expensive and the night we went, the food was terrible. We wondered if the chef was off sick. Food was less than ordinary, overpiced, overfried and haphazard. In contrast their sister restaurant Black Cow is excellent value for money.
