We had the egg and bacon pie could taste the bacon flavoring no sign of bacon and tons of green shit on the plate half a cherry tomato thats right HALF A CHERRY TOMATO and one olive. Scones l have never seen anything served up like this before its the type of thing you would exept in a army mess. The pott of tea had a tea bag in it no the type of thing you would expect to find in a TEA ROOM. |

Haven"t been for many years but same tablecloths that were very dirty which were sponged down in between patrons!! For an english tearoom the scones were looked like a brick although surpringly were moist. I wouldnt go back again! |

How can you serve a devonshire tea without scones and loose leaf tea, as i have experienced in devon itself complete with clotted. I dont know who taught you to make scones but you might want to give granny a ring for a few pointers |

The place was packed--seems to be the norm. This level of popularity is not a reflection of quality however more of effective gimmickry. The tea was very disappointing. Bags in a pot?! In a 'tea room'! There is no excuse for bad tea in a tea room. The scones were huge brick like things more suited to a building site than in a dining room. I am an Agatha fan and was hoping the murder mystery kitsch would add a fun edge to a yummy Devonshire tea. Sadly not the case. :-( A house of gaudy cynicism. |

We waited 2 hours for a table only to be told the savoury menu was no longer available. We opted for Devonshire teas and were presented with scones that looked like they'd been baked in a slab then cut into squares. Not at all like the scones I am used to in U.K! They were so large & heavy that we cut one scone into 3 slices! It would be much better to serve smaller scones of better quality. |

I was there last Tuesday for lunch. The fire was roaring, the place was packed, and it was a fantastic place to take my friend. I'd recommend it purely for the ambiance. If you have ever wondered what a slice of English architecture was like, just visit Miss Marple's Tea House. Food, staff, atmosphere...10 out of 10. |

Miss Marples Tearoom is a true delight to visit, with its quaint English feel, Open fireplace and Midwinter Christmas in July. There is also a nice seating area for you to relax and wait to be seated if it is busy. The food is delicious and simple. The Sundaes are huge and are great to share! Weekends are very busy so weekdays are a great option. Chris Rowville |
