About Pizzeria Giovanni

Pizza Giovanni is a family owned and run business in the Adelaide Hills in South Australia established in 1975 by Giovanni and Tina Mignone. They prided themselves on traditional flavours that were the essence of Southern Italy. For the past 15 years, their son Edi has continued the same passion for freshness and flavour that his parents started three decades ago and now provides a wide range of pizzas and pastas for both the traditional and the nouveau taste.

The pizza is good - although not as good as Jimmies at Crafers. Dependable quality even when it is really busy. The pasta is quite good but not as good as the pizza. Service is snappy and pleasant in the restaurant. The wine list is moderate. It's loud and fast most nights - kind of a really upclass fast food pizza chain.

I've eaten at Giovanni's many times. The pizza is pretty good, much better than the various pizza chains. The pasta I've tried has all been bland and not worth the price. I haven't tried breakfast. The staff is usually friendly. My family generally gets takeaway from there about once every couple weeks.

Dined in for breakfast and was outraged at the price and quality. $16 for a piece of toast, 2 rashers of bacon and 2 undercooked, inedible eggs.

Have been here a few times, with the original management and the new management. Once the new management came in, the service has improved immensely! The staff are friendly, profesisonal and attentive to your needs. The food is fresh and tastes delicious. The price is a bit expensive but its not your average style cheap and tacky estuarant so I would pay for it again!

The man that served us was really unfriendly, and made us feel very unwelcome. The food was average, but was definitely not worth the price. Also, our meals arrived at different times, and by the time that the last one had arrived the first person's meal had nearly been finished. This is not a good restaurant. There are much better ones out there.

We were outraged to see our actual bill when we recieved our pizzas from giovannis to be 35% more than we had anticipated. The prices on the web are way out of date!!! Also the pizzas were nowhere near the quality we have been. used to from the same company. We wont be using them again and will not recommend them. There is no way in the world (even with the global climate change) that they should have raised there prices that much and with NO warnings.
