I went to casalinga in June 2012, my partner and i found the food very disappointing i had the beer battered fish it must have been in a freezer for 2 years and what's the deal with the salad it was horrible. My partner had the lasgne which was nice before they changed owners but now its like packet lasgne you buy from coles. Both the meals were small and overpriced, instead of trying to make fancy menu get the basics right first. I will never go back and recommend you don't either i wouldn't give my dog this food. |

Went again to Casalinga and the food was lovely. The share platter for entree served 3 of us and was fresh and tasty. The basil/parmesan dip was stunning. Lamb cooked two ways with freeka tabouli was beautiful. Date bread and butter pudding with caramel sauce was lovely too. Would definitely go back after such a nice meal. |

Have been a long time customer of Caslinga and although with was sad to see the ownership change and there is always the fear of what will happen with new owners, we have been really happy with the changes and will continue to be regulars at Casalinga. A great facelift to the venue and the menu, without getting rid of the popular menu items and great new breakfast and lunch trading has been wonderful. The bonus is, that all the staff are just as friendly and attentive as ever.... best value night out for dinner in the area! |

Have to agree with other reviewers, the change has not been good for Casalinga. The prices have jumped, the portions have shrunk and revamped menu is boring and unoriginal, but worst of all the service has really gone downhill. The wait to order and receive food was ridiculous, and so was the owner wandering around saying "sorry about the wait" or "your meals should be here soon". Because we weren't regulars, did we get lesser service? Will not be back... |

Ive been to casalinga and thought it was ok, I suppose, but since the new owners, (andrew) well it was so good, the entrees were so impressive and with the two sizes, made it possible for most people to experience. My main was perfect, the girls I went with enjoyed the meals as well. Good sized meals as well. |

We were regular customers at Casalinga but no longer, went back tonight for the first time since the change of owners, and had to wait an hour and 15 minutes for take away (previously 20 mins max) then got the food home and everything is downsized and the flavour is nowhere near as good .... Another quality local restaurant bites the dust !! |

I tried the "new casalinga" last night. Excellent menu and revamp. The Tornedos met my high expectation. I have been coming to this restaurant and experienced the evolution for over 20 years. The traditonal restaurant will be missed but I'm sure the new funky one will be embraced! keep it up! |

Have been going to this restuarant for over 18 years and has always maintained the same good quality standard, interior isnt the most modern but never fails to provide you with good qualtity food at a very reasonable price, a good restuarant to take the family as it caters for all tastes |

I have been to many restaurants and this is by far my favourite. I am able to look past the fact that the atmosphere is not the best because the food is soo good. I also get oysters from there and I am happy to get hot oysters. I am not a big steak eater. This is the only place I will ever get steak from and one of the only that manages to cook a moist well done steak. If you can see past the looks of the place the food is well worth it!!! |

We were seated and felt we had to almost whisper our conversation as they had no music playing. The first noise we heard was the 'beeping' of a microwave from the kitchen. Our entree was oysters. Dry and ancient looking, with more bacon and watery sauce than actual oyster in each. I burnt my thumb and finger picking up the first one because it was so hot.. |
