Kotaraya and KL Cafe cooks up a truly mouthwatering fusion of authentic Malaysian, Chinese and Thai cuisine. And to prove their mastery of the art they have consistently swept the board at the Asian Food Festival Awards from 2000 onwards. This is the culinary equivalent of the Oscars for Asian food judged by a panel of peer group epicures and critics.

I suggest, if you are with a group, to order a banquet as this would allow everyone to pay the same. They do not split the bill for each table, which can make it tricky. We ordered thai green chicken curry, mongolian beef, deluxe combination and salt and pepper squid. Each dish was unique in flavour but all loved by all people sharing. The food does contain a tiny amount of MSG, and they will not add anymore if you request. I'm allergic and it did not cause a reaction. Desserts are yummy too!

I took the whole family there for dinner for the first time. Straight away I was impressed by the presentation and friendliness of the staff in particular the Matred' (pity I didn't catch his name). One of the dishes that we ordered that I truly recommend is the beancurd with minced pork and chilli. Anyway I'm definitely going back and this time it's for my birthday.
