About Fowles Wine Cellar Door restaurant

Perched on a hill surrounded by vines, and overlooking Hughes Creek to rugged Mt Bernard, our Cellar Door and Cafe is the perfect place to savour a glass of wine, great coffee, quick snack or long relaxed lunch. Our chef Adele Aitken sources the best of local produce including Hughes Creek lamb, Avenel mushrooms, and vegies from our organic kitchen garden. Freshly baked bread, house made preserves and a range of local produce is available for sale to take away. Open 7 days for breakfast and lunch, our Provence inspired courtyard offers secluded al-fresco dining, with modern playground euipment where the kids can play in safety.

Driving down the Hume on a Sunday around 9am.Tummy rumbling pulled into the cafe at Plunkett Fowles. Most charming do everything man,Greeted us, Made coffees,suggested we have ham and eggs in a pan with home made baked beans on the side. Lovely orange juice. Nice coffeee Every aspect was 1st class. because all was so good we decided to try their wine too. Very nice also. ladies who shoot their lunch label....try it. mmmm
