I have a some food allergies so eating out at restaurants can be dicey, particularly with Thai/Vietnamese/Chinese food. Loved Griffith Vietnamese as they listened to my requirements and cooked everything exactly as needed (i.e. without certain ingredients). I know this doesn't apply to everyone but it really made my night.

After hearing many great reviews, my husband and I decided to try this restaurant. We were incredibly disappointed. I didn't mind the outdated decor or the fact that it was very noisy, but the service was awful - we weren't given glasses for the bottle of wine we brought with us, we had to ask twice for water and our entree came out after our first main! On top of that, the food was average. Overall, we'll be sticking to the Vietnamese in Kingston!

We ate here for the first time in February 2010. There were five of us and we were able to enjoy a great range of Vietnamese food including the rice paper rolls, Vietnamese pancakes and salt and pepper squid. Service was good and BYO makes for a reasonably priced evening. We will certainly come again

This is an outstanding Vietnamese restaurant, but you wouldn't pick up that vibe at first glance. Don't order off the menu - ask the outstanding manager for a dinner for you and your guests and he will do a brilliant meal at a very reasonable price. The food is fresh, flavoursome and cooked to order. Highly recommended, but you must book if you plan on dining there anytime during sitting weeks on the hill...
