About Cafe Mueller Midland

Cafe Mueller Midland serves traditional home style German food in a 100 year old cottage. Crusty homebaked bread is served with delicious soup, there is one main course a night with a vegetarian alternative always available. Cakes are baked freshly every night by Karl, we also serve Black Forrest Ice Cream in a glass with a shot of Schnaps in it. There are lots of paintings and drawings on the wall with lots of bric a brac, a variety of old tables and chairs with a very cosy, homely atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable. Karl Mueller and Len.

I went to Cafe Mueller with 6 other family members and it was BRILLIANT. The thing that set it apart from the others for me was the different menu style and the seating arrangement. It's set in a type of house, and each room has tables and chairs in it. The menu is basically you get what you are given (of course there are acceptions such as allergies, etc.). The food was YUUUUUMMMMMMY! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit there. You need to book - it's popular because it's a fantastic dining experience.

I was fortunate enough to attend with some of my friends for a birthday gathering, as soon as i walked into the place i was enthralled by its quirky charm. Everywhere you look you can see a huge variety of interesting items which - for me captivated and enchanted. The service was friendly, witty and enjoyable and we were even lucky enough to see his studio out back. I thought the entire evening was unusual and magical. A must if you look at the world from other angles.

Our first experience at Cafe Mueller was outstanding. Karl is a gracious host who knows how to make you feel comfortable. Tasty, home-made food, generous servings. We chose a delicious soup accompanied by home-made German bread (to die for), savory pancakes stuffed with beef and vegetables (yum!), Black Forest ice cream (heaven!) and perfect coffee to round off the meal. The restaurant's atmosphere completed our experience with its cosy seating and interesting d├ęcor. Going back tonight. Bravo!

Treat this as though you are dining at your grandma's house. No menu, no price up front, set meal (3 courses) surrounded by bric-a-brac from the past 100 years. Food is FANTASTIC, all home made. Last night we had beef and veg soup (the best ever) followed by a savoury crepe with crispy lettuce and home made mayonnaisse, then a choice of 4 sweets. Menu is changed weekly with about 15 variations. Small tables in a labyrinth of rooms. A unique dining experience not to be missed.
